recently, the china electricity council unveiled the 2022 list of winners in the energy efficiency evaluation of coal-fired generation units in the country’s power industry. nine generation units of chn energy jiangsu branch made the list, accounting for 17.6% of all 5a-class generation units of the same type, the best in the industry. among them, the no.1 generation unit of changzhou power plant won first place among the 5a-class generation units, the no.3 generation unit of taizhou power plant and the no.11 generation unit of the yanbi power plant were also rated as 5a-class generation units, and the no.4 generation unit of suqian power plant was cited as the in-operation generation unit with the best power consumption index.

for a long time, the jiangsu branch of chn energy has vigorously promoted the professional operation and maintenance management of generation units, actively strengthened energy efficiency benchmarking and management, and conducted generation unit operation optimization, index competitions and auxiliary system energy consumption assessments in a regular manner. it has also scientifically carried out benchmarking analysis of generation units of the same type, generation unit design values and historical optimal values, and looked for differences on a dynamic basis, effectively improving the reliability and energy efficiency level of the generation units. in 2022, the power supply and coal consumption of its changzhou power plant reached the best level in history, and that of generation units in its taizhou power plant (phase ii) was 12.4% lower than the national average. besides, the electricity consumption rate of its suqian power plant decreased by 0.19% year-on-year, the best since the plant was put into operation.
