recently, the magnetic suspension flywheel energy storage unit technical standard t/zseia 006鈥?022 and the magnetic suspension flywheel energy storage system technical standard t/zseia 007鈥?022, jointly formulated by china energy ningxia power co., ltd., huachi kinetic energy (beijing) technology co., ltd., and several other companies, were unveiled on china鈥檚 national group standards information platform, providing technical references to the subsequent design, r&d and application of magnetic suspension flywheel energy storage systems.
the two standards clarify the composition of magnetic suspension flywheel energy storage systems, technical specifications and testing requirements for energy storage systems and equipment, technical specifications and safety requirements for access to the grid, technical specifications, testing methods, inspection rules, labeling regulations, and usage and maintenance requirements for magnetic suspension flywheel energy storage units, respectively. their release not only filled the domestic gap in this field, but also paved the way for the successful application of flywheel energy storage technology.
ningxia power has long been actively committed to enhancing the flexible operation of coal-fired power generation units, with an eye on the goals of peaking carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060. the flywheel energy storage project was built by the company鈥檚 lingwu branch. the 6mw photovoltaic project that combines coal-fired power, solar power, and energy storage already began full operation at the end of 2021. it is expected that the flywheel energy storage system will connect to two 600,000kw coal-fired power generation units to participate in joint coordination and scheduling in june and october, respectively. the annual revenue of the project is projected to reach 37.98 million yuan, which will play a long-term role in guaranteeing and adjusting the supply of coal-fired power and building a new-type power system.
