longyuan south africa renewables (pty) ltd. (hereinafter 鈥淟ongyuan sa鈥? under china energy once again obtained issuance of certified emission reduction quotas totaling more than 1.4 million tons on august 6, a new high for overseas projects under the corporation.
the issuance was for emission reduction in power generation of phase-ii of longyuan sa鈥檚 de aar wind-power project in the period from october 2017 when it began operation to the end of 2020. according to voluntary emission reduction standards, the project was registered in verra, the world鈥檚 largest and most influential voluntary carbon emission institution, and invited a south africa consulting firm to compile relevant auditing report and an international verification institution to carry out remote verification, eventually obtaining the issuance of emission reduction quotas.
