on june 19, china energy held a press conference in shijiazhuang, hebei province, to announce that its shuozhou-huanghua railway has become china鈥檚 first heavy-haul railroad to adopt a mobile occlusion system, marking a major breakthrough in domestic heavy-haul railway technology.
the heavy-haul mobile occlusion system on the shuozhou-huanghua railway achieves 鈥渇our innovations鈥?that meet actual operational requirements: heavy-haul mobile occlusion system, mobile occlusion safety protection technology for complex scenarios of heavy-haul railroad, heavy-haul train repositioning technology based on wireless communication and beidou satellite navigation system, and comprehensive security for the whole process of heavy-haul mobile occlusion. the innovative technology fills the gap in the field of heavy-haul railroad mobile occlusion, significantly improves the automation level of heavy-haul transportation, and plays a pilot role in the expansion and upgrade of china鈥檚 existing railroads. its application will shorten the average departure interval of each freight train from 11 to 7.3 minutes. after the installation of the mobile occlusion system is completed along the line, the annual transport capacity of the railroad can be increased by 40 million tons, the comprehensive maintenance cost of signal system equipment can be reduced by about 20 percent, train crews鈥?safety concerns will be mitigated, and labor intensity of maintenance will be eased.
