the feasibility report on the replacement of the 450t gantry crane of the gongzui dam of daduhe hydropower co., ltd., a subsidiary of china energy, passed expert review on april 1. the expert panel unanimously agreed that it is feasible and imperative to replace the 450t gantry crane of the gongzui dam.
the 450t gantry crane of the gongzui dam, put into use in 1972, has been operating for nearly 50 years. so far, the bearing capacity of its main metal structure has gradually deteriorated, and electric components are already outdated. as a result, the gantry crane鈥檚 working conditions and safety have been severely worsened. the feasibility report that has passed expert review suggested using new technology, equipment and materials to enhance the gantry crane鈥檚 safety, reduce labor intensity, enhance work efficiency, and increase repair and maintenance intervals, so as to save repair and maintenance time and enhance power generation efficiency.
