on march 16, qizhala, chairman of the tibet autonomous region, met with wang xiangxi, chairman of china energy, and liu guoyue, president of china energy, in beijing. the two parties held talks on further deepening cooperation.
qizhala expressed thanks to china energy for the corporation鈥檚 contributions to energy development, poverty alleviation and other aspects of tibet over the years. he hopes that the two parties will strengthen strategic cooperation to accelerate construction of hydropower and new energy projects in areas where conditions are mature and boost local industrial development for rural revitalization. he noted that the government of tibet autonomous region will give full support to enterprises investing in tibet, promote the autonomous region鈥檚 high-quality development in the process of fulfilling china鈥檚 goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.
wang xiangxi expressed gratitude to the government of tibet autonomous region for its long-time support for china energy, and briefed on the corporation鈥檚 reform and development. he said that tibet abounds in clean energy resources, and the two sides have a good foundation and great potential for cooperation. he also expressed the hope that the two parties will strengthen communication and strategic cooperation, step up construction of hydropower, photovoltaic and high-altitude wind power projects while promoting ecological protection, build a multi-energy development base combining hydropower, solar power, and energy storage in light of local conditions, and effectively align clean energy development with rural revitalization, so as to make new contributions to tibet鈥檚 green development.
