the third bri enterprises integrity and compliance training class, jointly launched by the national supervisory commission of china, the united nations office on drugs and crime (unodc), the international anti-corruption academy and the asian infrastructure investment bank, opened on november 25. on the sideline of the training program, 63 chinese centrally administered enterprises, local state-owned enterprises and private enterprises that have deeply involved in the belt and road initiative (bri), including china energy investment corporation, jointly launched the bri enterprises integrity and compliance initiative, demonstrating chinese enterprises鈥?nbsp;firm determination to fulfill integrity and compliance commitments as they are going global.
at the bri forum for international cooperation, chinese president xi jinping called on countries to strengthen international counter-corruption cooperation so that the belt and road will be a road with high ethical standards. integrity is a key facet of the bri, as well as an important factor to support the growth of enterprises and enhance their competitiveness and images. enterprises are players in building the belt and road with high ethical standards, and at the same time beneficiaries of the effort. according to the united nations convention against corruption and the beijing initiative for the clean silk road, all enterprises participating in the third bri enterprises integrity and compliance training class pledged to enhance their awareness of integrity, reinforce their compliance, abide by laws and regulations, strengthen industry honesty and self-discipline and fulfill their social responsibilities.
